Jules Rademeyer

Jules is a fully registered Psychologist and a Clinical Psychology Registrar (reg no: PSY0002177157). She holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and Sociology, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, and a Master of Clinical Psychology. Jules is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Psychologists, and currently serves as the NSW registrar representative for the college. In addition to clinical work, Jules has completed research into the relationship between gender identity and the development of eating disorder symptoms in adolescents. This research was selected for presentation at the International Conference on Eating Disorders (ICED) in 2020.

Jules has experience providing individual and group therapy in both hospital and community mental health settings. In addition to private practice, she continues to work in a clinical and leadership role in a private mental health hospital. Jules has a special interest in assisting people who experience difficulty with emotion regulation, high levels of distress, and self-identity concerns. She also provides effective therapeutic support for individuals experiencing mood and anxiety concerns, as well as problems of daily living and stress. Jules draws on her experience in different settings to provide a layered approach to therapy that may include both symptoms-focused work with an emphasis on practical skills as well as more in-depth, reflective therapeutic work.

Jules works from a warm, non-judgmental standpoint, with an emphasis on understanding you in the context of your life-experience and relationships. She will focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel heard and supported. Jules will work collaboratively with you to develop an understanding of what is currently going on for you and to the identify goals that you would like to achieve in therapy. She will provide evidence-based treatment that is individually tailored to your needs and goals.
